Italian Night – Here are some photos of the really brilliant night! Massive thanks to Beryl & Andrea. The food was amazing!

Xmas Party 2017:

What a wonderful and lovely atmosphere there was, at this year’s Xmas Party! It was so good to see some ‘new’ faces and especially nice to have so many younger people in attendance. The food was tasty and plentiful and the tables were full. The Committee had decked the ‘hall in bells and holly’ earlier in the week and a new addition for this year were the outside lights. The hall looked lovely – inside and out. Marion was the ‘host’ and the games went down a treat with everyone participating. The pass-the-parcel, (see the ladies game below), the musical chairs and the VH speciality – the ‘ toilet-roll’ game were a big hit as usual and it was really nice for all the VH Committee members in attendance to see so many happy and smiling faces.

VH2017AIt was a super evening’s entertainment so make sure you get your tickets for next year’s event booked up as soon as you see the flyers come out next year!!

It was ‘eyes down and look in’ for around 60 merry makers at a recent social evening in Marbury Village Hall. The village Hall committee organised a very successful and enjoyable evening consisting of several games of bingo, a raffle and a very entertaining game of ‘Irish Bingo’ with a delicious fish supper (with mushy peas of course…) served during the interval. The Master of Ceremonies and expert bingo caller for the evening was Marian Turnbull who kept us all entertained with her knowledgeable ‘bingo lingo,,,’
A fun night was had by all and at only £6 a ticket and the usual advantage of bring your own drinks, it was a cheap night out for all the family.
The next village hall social is the Quiz night on Monday 2nd November and then, the highlight in the Marbury social calender, the Christmas Party, on Saturday 5th December. Contact a committee member to reserve your tickets. This is an event not to be missed!!!
